Privacy Policy
Orbelle is a period and cycle tracker, and your cycle is yours. We built Orbelle so that we never see your entries. This policy explains what that means in practice. "We" means Shaun Colver, the seller of Orbelle.
The short version
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics, no tracking, no crash reporters and no third-party code that collects data.
- Your entries are stored on your iPhone or iPad. Orbelle does not send them to us or to anyone else.
- We do not collect, see, sell or share your data.
What stays on your device
Everything you put into Orbelle stays on your device: your periods, flow and spotting, pain, symptoms, moods, energy, discharge, test results, temperatures, intimacy entries if you use them, birth control, custom tags, notes, your settings and your reminders. Orbelle's widgets read a small summary that is stored on the same device.
Predictions, patterns and summaries are worked out on your device. Your notes are read only on your device, and only to power features inside the app.
Apple Health (optional, off until you turn it on)
If you connect Apple Health, Orbelle can write period flow, spotting, ovulation and pregnancy test results and basal temperature there, and can read your earlier cycle history from it. Intimacy entries are never written to Apple Health unless you turn that on separately. Apple Health is part of your iPhone and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. You can change these permissions at any time in the Health app.
Backups and export
- You can export your entries as a CSV file. It goes only where you choose to save or send it.
- You can save an encrypted backup file and restore it on another device. You choose where the file is kept, and we never receive it.
- The Doctor Report is a PDF made on your device. It leaves Orbelle only if you share or save it, and it goes only where you send it.
Purchases
Orbelle Pro and Orbelle Forever are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles your payment. We never receive your name, card details or Apple Account details. Apple provides us with general sales reports, as it does for every app.
App lock and notifications
If you turn on the app lock, your device's own Face ID, Touch ID or passcode check is used. Orbelle only learns whether the check passed. Reminders are scheduled on your device, and by default they use discreet wording on the Lock Screen.
Contacting us
If you email us at support@orbelleapp.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
This website
orbelleapp.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. Its fonts and images are served from the site itself.
Deleting your data
You can delete any entry in the app, or erase everything in Settings. Deleting Orbelle from your device deletes the data stored on it. If you shared data with Apple Health, you can delete it in the Health app. Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
Orbelle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If Orbelle ever starts collecting data, we will say so here, in the app and on the App Store before it happens.
